I got the TDKs because I wanted a second pair to use with a tablet computer and they got a pretty positive review on Sound and Vision. They list for about $200 but I got them for $85 shipped through an Amazon affiliate.
So far I only tested them on my 13" MacBook Pro. Since output impedance of the device they are plugged into has a major affect on the sound, I'll probably try them with my smartphone and tablet soon. I used a pair of older Shure E500s for comparison - a much higher end pair.
The BA100s come with a set of medium silicone tips installed plus extra small, medium and large silicone tips plus foam tips. Additionally, you get a plastic clip, extension cord, velour type bag and 1/4" adapter. I settled on the large silicone tips. They gave the best seal.
Compared to the Shures, the TDKs were light in the bass and treble. I ran through a selection of music in iTunes, my own rips to Apple lossless. To get a similar balance, I tweaked the equalizer to a V shape. The TDKs were a lot less sensitive so I should have added gain.
Overall, they aren't bad for $85. They use a single armature. The resolution is pretty good but the tonal balance needs a little help.
