Just curious if to see if anyone here has this driver. Is it all it's cracked up to be? The reason I'm asking is this driver caught my attention and I'm seriously considering getting it...once I set aside the cash for it!

What will your application be for the Pro 5100.... ?

I have 6 of the LMS's in my build - click my link below...

If your looking to build a sub - its an excellent driver, though it won't go as low as the LMS for deep bass... but its said to have a bit better response in the upper bass region...

Looks like you have been waffling about on alot of different build ideas... still can't figure something out here...?

Nathan Funk of funkywaves apparantly prefers the 5100 over the 5400. It won't give you those infrasonics but it's much more sensitive meaning that it will get VERY loud, very easy, and sound great doing it.

Hey just how high does the 5100 go cleanly? Think it could be crossed as high as 300hz (48db/octave digital active filter)?

Or is that asking too much out of an 18" driver?

We have used it up past 500Hz no problem. It starts to drop after about 900Hz.

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking to use this is a professional application for live sound reinforcement. So, SPL, durability and portability are concerns. I have a cerwin vega folded horn and I love it but i think copying a similar design to house the TC is a bit beyond my skills / tool limitations so I'm might go with a simple bass reflex enclosure.

It can be utilized in a horn with very good results, but its also pretty capable in just a bass reflex box considering its xmax and power handling. The horn needs to be very large to reach below 30Hz, a bass reflex could be made smaller and extend that low or much lower.
