Hey everybody!
I'm new to the Audioholics website, but I've already read plenty of great information here and I have really appreciated some of the insight a lot of you have had.
But getting to the point, I've had this pair of Tannoy Mercury F1 (Fusion 1) speakers that I've owned a couple of years now that I picked up back home from a Fry's Electronics store on sale. Ever since then I haven't been able to find any more of these speakers and I've been dying to get my hands on the next biggest bookshelf size they have, the Mercury F2.
So does anyone know of any online dealer or place here in the US where they don't charge an arm and a leg for Tannoy speakers?
I know that Tannoy just recently discontinued the F2 and now they just have the F1 Custom which is the same as what I have now, except it's got bi-wireable terminals. But I still want to find a pair of the F2's out there if it's possible because they have the larger 6" driver.
I've been able to find 2 dealers on the internet that actually are here in the States except that the price per speaker is like $200.00. While I realize that's not that much money to some of you, compared to what these sell for over in Europe it seems really overpriced. I'm not against paying that kind of money if I have to, but on a college student budget I'd like to save where I can.
I don't really need any suggestions for like-speakers because I already have a set of Polk Monitor 5's from the 80's that I just bought replacement drivers for. So really I'm just trying to find more of these Tannoys because I love the sound and they really seem to balance well with my Harmon Kardon 3480 Stereo Reciever with a nice clean sound when listening music.
Thanks for all your help!
