Hey guys,

I thought I'd post a couple of pictures of my current system. I only use it for music so it might be kinda boring for this site. I recently relocated for a job and am still living in an apartment. As soon as I find a house I hope I'll have some HT pics to post up here. I don't watch much tv but the lcd is pretty handy when you don't have much space. The equipment list is short:

Primare I-20 integrated
NAD C542 CD player
Opera 1.5 monitors
Cable is cheap canare

Apologies for the bad pictures, my camera sucks and I had to shrink the pitures quite a bit for them to fit.

Nice set-up. The clear woofers are kinda cool looking.

Thanks guys. I have a sub (REL stampede) sitting in it's box in the closet. I haven't been able to dial it in very well in this place, though it sounded great in my old townhouse. I also find that the neighbors don't appreciate it very much. As it is I end up listening to headphones more often then the Opera's. Thanks for the comments.

I think everyone would want solid wood speakers made as nicely as the Opera's.

We do not see a lot of them here in the states.

As mentioned, a good sub and those 1.5's should shine in a home theater setting and I am sure they are more than adequate for your music preference.

Nicely done!

Thanks for the comments Wescott. I really dig those old Altec's in your system. They're probably worth a fortune in that condition.

Those woofers look so cool! Is this a 2 channel music rig? Do you have a HT rig? :)

Beautiful bookshelves. I love the depth. They remind me of the old vintage Infinity Reference Standard's with the clear drivers. :)

Thanks Buck, I was happy to have bought the Opera's while they were still made out of hardwood. The current models are the usual MDF with veneer. Not that it makes the speakers sound any better (fiberboard is usually thought to be better for sound), I just enjoy looking at the craftsmanship

Sheep,

It's just a two channel, my brother acquired my HT (for a ridiculously low price) when I moved cities for a better job offer.

Here Adam, -- here is the quick fix...
(give me the original - unsized,
And I can do a much better job --- I would then take my time with the repair)

BTW system looks fine.:)

All you need to do is get a free account over at Photobucket.com
And you can upload any-size pic (within reason)

They are so old, most people think they are end tables? Not a lot of VOTT discussions on this forum.

I have seen ads for these speakers in Asian magazines. It seems it is some kind of cult thing to own them there. No matter. I would never sell. A part of me still enjoys a little time in front of a full range two channel system.

Thanks for the compliment.
