Audiophyte
Tablets might not, a first, seem like a topic fo an audiophile forum but, the lines between our audio systems, computers, phones and tablets are becoming very blurry and faint. I am considering buying a tablet, maybe wi-fi only and probably an Android one. I was just looking at the Nexus 7 32gb at Staples today and was very impressed with the display, responsiveness and general feel of the device. Although there does not seem to any price competion on the Nexus tablets, with the holiday buying madness only a week away I am putting off this purchase on the off chance that the tablet might be found on sale. But I am not willing to stand in line all night even if they were giving it away. This tablet has blue tooth and micro usb but no hdmi. I have seen reports of only one tablet, a Lenovo, that has both usb and hdmi. I do not know how much I would use hdmi but it seems that one of the uses of a tablet like this might be to play movies on an hd tv, perhaps in a hotel while traveling. Without hdmi, are there any other options to send a movie from a tablet to a tv that has only the conventional connectivity such as composite video and hdmi?
