I'm familiar with this 'table, used to be a good value priced line of 'tables. No longer in business, but Audionote bought the rights/technology to the Systemdek line and still makes turntables based on the Systemdek 2X2 (which is a higher end model than the one for sale and loosely similar to the Linn Sondek); the Audionote version is called the TT1 and is still in production.
Also, note that at the time Systemdek turntables were offered (starting in the mid-'80's), the Linn Sondek was pretty the top dawg in analog. And the Linn to this day is of course still manufactured in Scotland, which I bet is why the seller gave a shout out to Scotland in his classified.
