First time posting here, not sure if this goes to the HTCP section but if so, sorry

Anyways, I recently bought a set of computer speakers that can serve as a home theater too, the Logitech Z906 5.1 speakers. It's a THX-certified system with 500 watts of total power, really neat and powerful system, however, I want to ensure that my system will work at its fullest and I've got some concerns:

1)For how long should I leave my system on to 'warm it up' so that the speakers and the subwoofer produce good sound?
2)With what should I warm my system up, music or movies? Orchestral music or action movies?
3)The system can be connected to a receiver (from what I've read and heard), does this mean that I can, somehow, buy another powered sub and hook it up?
4)I have an ASUS Sabertooth p67 B3 rev. motherboard which has an integrated upmix(?) feature giving me 2.1>5.1>7.1 and equalization features, but since I want to maximize my speakers performance when playing movies and music, should I buy a high quality sound card (THX-Certified) that supports 5.1 audio with optical ports for the highest quality possible in a computer?
Thanks in advance for any answer, anything is much appreciated.

Warm-up is irrelevant. Audiophile nonsense. Turn it on when you're ready to use it and start enjoying it.

Measurable distortion does go down *very slightly* as the circuits thermally stabilize, but you'll probably never hear the difference, and it only takes a few minutes. Whatever actual effect there is isn't worth worrying about, and certainly not worth changing your behavior for.
