Hy guys,

I want to give me some ideas regarding my system.

i have a room of about 3,5 meters width and about 7 meters long
height is 2,4 meters. The LCD amd front speakers are on a 7 meters long wall and the sofas on the other one.

LCD Sony 1080p 100 cm 40S4000
AV Receiver Onkyo TX-SR605
PS3 Slim 320Gb
Speakers: Klipsch Synergy F-1: Front Speakers 100w (400w peak) 8ohms
C-1: Center Speaker 50w (200w peak)
S-1: Surround Speakers 50 watts (200w peak).
Woofer: Magnat Supreme 301A:
# diameter: 12 inch
# RMS: 100W
# Max: 220W
# freq: 16Hz - 200Hz
# LPF variabile: 50 - 150Hz

I am a big movie fan but I also want to listen to some good music (like eric clapton).

I want to upgrade my whole lineup: audio and video.
But first I don't know what to do. I love Klipsch speakers in movies, but I feel like i need more in music (the mid part).
I love the Onkyo receiver too. But if I have to choose some more powerful speakers Im afraid I have to change the AVR too. or not? Its enough for my room? Maybe yes.... but than I have to work more to musicality. I am not into "3D generation", and the new AVR series all have this "new thing". I want my AVR to be musical and I want it to be weighty, and maybe eye popping? only maybe.

I am open to any ideas. Please tell me your thoughts.

Oh, and I like to listen stereo what is ment to be stereo, not some digital upconversion...

For Front speakers I dont want to spend more than 1500$/pair, and for the rest, I dont really know. The surround speakers need to be with two faces (like a triangle or semicircular) not like the shelf speakers.

MrJapan,
Something tells me you're from Europe :D ... Not sure what ether metric measurements or obscure German company subwoofer ;)

It'll a bit hard to give you brands/models suggestion as your selection will be probably very different than available to most members of this forum (US and Canada)

In very general, I'd look into Wharfedale brand as high quality speakers, but still being good value. You should pick speakers you like first and then match them to receiver.

Start by visiting several local stereo shop and listed to music you love on as many different speakers as possible.

Another idea is - if you like your surrounds - keep them. Aim to replace the fronts and center. I don't know your sub that well, but I get the feeling you might need to upgrade it to something more powerful. Your room is about 2000 cu feet

The surround speakers need to be with two faces (like a triangle or semicircular) not like the shelf speakers.
You mean bi-pole or dipole ??
