Well Ipod and/or computer. We want to put a secondary system for our outdoor entertaining area that we can plug an ipod into. It would be great to send a signal wirelessly from a computer too. Anybody have any suggestions?

Receiver connections

Mike,
You can plug an iPod int one of the analog inputs of any stereo or HT receiver. the Options ($100) iPod doc allows you to control the iPod with the receivers remote. For a pair or two of backyard speakers, an entry level stereo or HT receiver should work well.

For a wirless solution, look at the Airport Extreme ($150 from apple) that streams your i-tunes directly to a receiver. Works fine.

Almost every receiver I've seen coming out this year has a dock option or direct iPod/USB support. Depending on how much you want to spend, there are quite a few systems for wireless streaming similar to the Airport.
