I would like to add music to my small sailboat -- a she's a Sabre 28 with a small cabin (down below) and a decently-sized cockpit (outside).
Outside is straightforward -- need a couple of flush-mount, small, waterproof speakers. Beggars can't be choosers. Safety trumps any sound considerations.
But down below I started thinking -- "Hey! Mounting a Bose Wave radio instead of a marine stereo head unit down-below would be a great solution! All-in-one!" A quick 'google' revealed they have a 12 volt power cord available -- but no second speaker output.
That saved me! And prompted me to my first audioholics discussion topic: Is there a nice-sounding all-in-one stereo, amplifier and speaker system that:
Is 12 volt powered
Has internal speakers
Has at least one external speaker output
Is small -- narrower the better!
Sounds reasonably good
Any suggestions?
