Syntax 20" LCD TV Breaks the $700 Price Barrier

While you can find street prices for a few 20" LCD TVs around $700, you won't find one with an MSRP of just $699. LCD prices have been slowly dropping, but it seems like one company is trying to accelerate the process just a bit. Right now, for $699 MSRP you won't find any other LCD TVs with all of the following features:

- 500cd/m2, 800x600 native resolution
- 160 degree viewing angle
- 500:1 contrast ratio
- VGA input for dual use as a computer display

We've been tracking with Syntax Groups' Olevia brand for several months now and they appear to offer some good entry-level products at groundbreaking prices. What's more, they are offering features and specs on their products that normally cost much more - which we're hoping will result in an acceleration of LCD price drops throughout the marketplace. If you're looking at the LCD TV market to see what's happening, keep your eyes on this company - they appear to be leading the way for some value offerings.
