Swans speakers

Anyone have SWAN speakers for HT?
Opinions?

A friend is selling his Swan 6.1 because he needs the money, they sound great but have only heard them for music.

I'am thinking about the C3 for center and R3 surround for a 5.1 system.
May also consider 4.1 for the surrounds instead of R3, opinons on this?

I don't think many people here have heard them, myself included. If you think they sound great for music, then they will probably do well for HT. The 4.1s should be fine for surround duty. Many members have a similar type setup.

I have them, and chose them over the Rockets 750, Axiom M60ti, B&W 603s, and others....they are simply amazing speakers, and the price just makes them a 21st century robbery.

hard to find a better floorstanding spkr under $1k...bar none!

ps- If you think they sound amazing in music, you should see what they sound in HT

I'm running 5.1s, and the rears are my old Infinity IL10s (now called infinity Beta)...no need for upgrading those yet.

has your friend sold his 6.1s yet? are they in rosewood or black cherry. any ideas what he is asking for them? thanks. I might be interested in purchasing them

ssabripo what kind of music do you listen to mainly with your swans and how hard do you push them? I am speaker shopping they look like B&W 700 series I know that doesn't mean anything.
