Fantastic! This almost makes me want to return my practically new PC 20-39+ and order a new PC Ultra.

Saw that this morning. Excellent! I've been waiting for the new Ultras ever since I saw the new Plus drivers come out. I almost got a PC 20-39+ (like GlocksRock), but I knew that I'd want the Ultra. However, if I already had a 20-39+ sitting in my living room, I wouldn't return it. Mostly because I'm lazy, but also because I'm sure that it's a great sub, and I'm already starting to twitch just thinking about having to wait until July or later to get an Ultra.

It is a great sub, and it's also in my tiny bedroom, not a living room (yet). I only would consider returning it since it's still within the 45 day return period, and I would only lose out on shipping costs. But I'm sure I don't really need the extra output of the Ultra, and if at one point I do want more output, I can just add a second sub. Not to mention I don't wanna return it now and have to wait till the ultra comes out to have that nice SVS bass again.

The new subwoofers have more traditional woofer style, which I favor over flashy aluminum. It also looks like the speakers are using tetron tweeters. I could be mistaken.

Must say, I like the look of the flashy aluminum. However, I plan on getting a down-firing sub, so it doesn't much matter how it looks...just how it sounds.

you will have to ask SVS that question to be sure ... they're the only ones who've listened to the ultra.

but I'm guessing they'd say that it'd be a little bit closer to equal.

So with the new info about the up and comming pre-order period of the Ultra13, how many of you are going to do the pre-order or are you going to wait until it comes out?

Is anyone going to wait until the Ultra13/2 instead of the Ultra13?

I don't think I could go for something like a Ultra13/2 as it will be a tall floorstanding unit, and would even pass my discriminate eye. That Monster will deffinately be something to behold, but the pretty factor of my current Plus/2 is about as far as I could go putting that in my room.

Just looking at the New Ultra coming out, with close to the same size of what I have now, I still wouldn't trade my Plus/2 for that in the looks dept. Now If I decide to setup a HT in the future in another of my rooms in the house, for a dedicated HT out of the public eye a bit more, I wouldn't hesitate 1 second to pick up one or a Ultra13/2

Also lets not forget, that the Ultra13/2 won't even be shipping until this time 2008.

It's kind-of funny but no one ever notices my sub until I point it out then they say oh...I thought it was an end table. I have an ugly black one that has one picture on top of it so I bet a nice redwood or something would disappear in the room.

I had a guy over at my house last night, and he was lookin around and pointed at my Rosenut Plus/2 and said whats that... THATS MY SUB BABY !!!!!

" I thought it was a frigerator or something.."

My good man, plop your *** right here in the HOT SEAT.....

He freaked !!!

My other buddy, who does house wiring and installs wiring for audio, plasma's and all sorts of $hit for the basic home theater kind of things, and sat down for a listen for the first time, absolutely couldn't believe how well my sub performed powerful/tight/responsive/accurate, were his words of choice...

Can't believe how much more power will come out of that Ultra13 but will be dying to hear it.

Have you done anymore room treatment? I am starting to believe that your few panels made a difference. I stuffed two black fluffy pillows under my TV stand just to hide some wires and I swear that the clarity of my center increased by 20%.
