I have an SVS PB12 Plus which I have been very happy with. Every now and then I like to check my speaker levels to make sure everything it should be. I use the Sound & Vision callibration disc and an spl meter to do this. For some reason, when trying to set my sub speaker level now, The reading on the spl meter(about 65db) is the same with the gain all the way off as it is at the half way point. Could a bad sub cable be causing this?

It wouldn't be the cable hehe.

Cables rarely are the problem. It's usually a connector thing in cabling. But an RCA connector is very reliable IMO.

It's most likely something else.

I've already talked to SVS about the problem and they are helping to resolve the issue I'm having. So, I won't need your "help". hehe

Good! --Hopefully, it is still under warranty or if not they can replace the failed part/s at a reasonable cost.

I didn't answer earlier because it sounded like a problem in you SVS sub amp or the SVS level control

Take Care,
