SVS Sub vs. Aperion Sub

Looking at all options, I've decided on getting an Aperion 7.1 set for the theater. The only problem I've been racking my brain over is whether to get their 12" sub or get a 12" SVS-Ultra or SVS-Plus cylinder/box sub. I have not had experience with SVS subs though I know plenty of people have good things to say. Would it be worth the extra $300/$600 to do this? Or is the Aperion sub a great performer? What are people's opinons?

If you were comparing the ISD subs, it might be a tough choice. But I've heard nothing but praise for the ultra woofers. I think if you have the budget, go for the best you can now and avoid buyer's remorse.
