Does anyone know why SVS is out of stock on most of their subs? Is it because they are coming out with a new line of subs soon?

Thanks,
Anthony

Just speculating.

I think it's their way of keeping costs down. Less inventory, less overhead. Almost like made to order (think Dell). When they get a batch of orders, they assemble them at the factory and then ship them out, in batch. Subs take a bit longer to make than laptops. Plus the orders trickle in, slowly.

Again, just speculation on my part.

I agree they probably don't keep huge inventory but it could also be the wake of the holiday rush. If they get hit with extra orders over the holiday they could still be playing catch-up.

I called them the other day and talked to Eric. He told me that they were having a problem getting the enclosures from the people that make them :( .

Currency exchange might be hammering them.

I think he's referencing when the tax rebates come in (May-July)...
