Hello to all, still alittle green on matching up speakers to my denon 1912, by the way I'm still being educated on audio language and terms so please put it laymans terms...thanks. Right now I have a pair of rs nova 8b's that I listen to and they sound really nice but alittle light on the bass which I thought about getting a sub to go with them but at the same time I've been leaning towards a pair of SVS Prime Tower speakers with a center without a sub which I hear that u don't need with these, would like some insite on the ideal of moving in this direction...THANKS...NEED YOUR HELP!!!

I have the Ultra bookshelves and they're excellent speakers, plus the finish is terrific. My only critiscism of them would be that they are a little light on the bass. However, based on the review I would say that the Ultra towers should sound pretty fantastic sans sub. However, if you are big into movies, especially those big blockbuster types, then you'll probably want to add a sub later on to fill in the lowest octave and to smooth out the bass frequency response. That being said, I doubt you'd come up feeling like you lack bass with the Ultra towers.
