SVS calibration issues

man this thing is fussy!!

so i decided to experiment with location of my sub today, i moved it to the back left corner tried to calibrate and in order to get it to 75 db i have to really crank the receivers trim way in the + side even with the sub dial at 12oclock. when i tried to listen to something it was very boomy. i tried the left front corner and still same thing. i moved it back to its original position in the front right (however not a corner because side wall is open) and tried to calibrate w/ shack meter at slow response range of 70. the subs gain at just below 12 oclock and the trim on receiver at -2.5 and VIOLA IT READ 76DB.
SETTINGS= speakers small, crossover disabled on sub, receiver Xover 80.

WHAT A DIFFENECE IN PLACEMENT. EVEN JUST MOVING IT A FEW INCHES NEXT TO THE WALL MAKES A DIFFERENCE. (MAYBE THE POLE THAT IS IN THE WAY MAKES A DIFFERNECE?

I bought a PC Plus and honestly, I couldn't get it to sound good and just returned it because it sounded too boomy and bloaty even after a lot of tweaking. I was restricted to moving it around because it got in the way of my projector so it had to be behind me.

I find that sealed or sloted sub in my room sounded better. I used to have a Velodyne 5000R that KILLED the SVS in terms of tightness and output. But the SVS definately went lower.

watching movies still blows me away!!

i hope it will be okay when i place it in the new location the new house. it can only be placed in left or right front corners there.
