SVS box vs cylinders

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the two. The cubes are much less of an eyesore. However, it appears the cylinders have more volume and perhaps greater output ?

In their respective price ranges, they are quite similar. Output may be a bit higher for the cylinders for the prices for certain models, but not everyone likes the look of a cylinder. Which are you looking at in particular?

THe SVS website has an FAQ that addresses this exact question. Basically, you get more for your money with the cylinders, but a lot of people prefer the boxes.

Hi Sweep,

Like the responses above...the answer sort of depends on which models you are considering. For example, the PB12-isd sort of bridges the small gap between the 20-39PCi and the 25-31PCi as fas as extension and clean output capability goes. The larger 16-46PCi would extend much deeper than the PB12-isd...but you'll lose some headroom(maximum clean output capability) >20hz too.

Feel free to contact me at SVS techsupport if you have any other questions about our products.
