SVS a "sound" choice?

I'm back. My system is all Kef as explained earlier, iQ7 front, 3way center and 3way rears. Most opinions lean towards the SVS subwoofers, and they have beautiful cabinets. I want to be under a $1000.00, and the Kef sub psw2500 is reasonable. Stay with svs? Any model in my range?

We are finishing up a review of a new Aperion audio system.

This sub is a real sleeper and has done wonderfully in our tests:

http://www.aperionaudio.com/product/Bravus-10D-Dual-10-Powered-Subwoofer,105,66,243.aspx

Its reasonably sized, has an excellent fit and finish and is only $800. Something to consider.

Their model above is an extra $300 and has dual 12"s for even more output and extension.
I believe gimpy_ric tried the 12 inch version, and preferred his SVS to it.

I would not recommend a shoddy product. If you want a real sub get an SVS if you want junk then get the KEF sub. Kef is not a subwoofer company. They make great coaxial drivers, but their subs are subpar.

SVS centers around subs IMO. Of course if you want the best sub. Then build a Kappa Perfect.

That ("Best") is completely subjective. I can easily build a superior unit to the perfect build as can/have other's here.

I would agree it is one of the best values in a DIY project though.
