Should I block one of the ports so I can get lower sound or should I leave them all open? With no blocker in it is set at 25, with one blocker it would be at 20. Help me out, it arrives monday.

Hello,

I have 2 SVS 20-39 CS+ subwoofers. With the port plugged they will go to 16Hz. I have left the plugs out because with them in it will literally knock things off shelves upstairs and causes a lot more distracting vibrations in my HT room. Without the plugs, I get deep solid bass with no unwanted effects. I'd say try it both ways and see which sounds better to you. Understand though, you will lose some overall volume by using the plug and tunig the sub lower.

The fun of it is playing with it and see what YOU like. Unblocked is louder and blocked not as loud but that might be what you like. You might block for movies and not for music or just leave it alone. Play around.

I started with one port blocked, I think that is how I will leave it... It's plenty loud for us.
