I'll probably buy a PS3 by next spring if there's not a better Blu-ray player on the market. I'd rather replace my Pioneer Elite multiformat player with a new player with proper support for BD, and DVD-A and SACD (my DV-45A plays DVD-A, SACD and well... DVD and all the other usual suspects). If I wind up with a PS3 it means I'm keeping the Pioneer which means more crap on my component stand.
I already have a 360 for gaming as I find it a better overall gaming system (other features aside), so I wouldn't be as interested in a PS3 for gaming but if I have to go that way it's not the worst tradeoff, it just means that instead of just a new multi-format DVD/BD player & the 360 I'll have the DVD player, 360 and PS3.
