Surround speakers for LSi 9

Hi, I currently have a Onkyo TX-NR900 receiver and Polk LSi9 and LSiC speakers and I need to replace the surrounds speakers (currently two old Sony’s), but the LSi series is quite expensive.
The NR900 can handle 7.1 ch, so in a ideal scenario I’ll need 4 surrounds speakers, that is why I were considering to buy a Bose Acoustimass 10 system to handle the 4 surrounds channels. Is that crazy? Should I stick to the LSi? Which one, LSi 7?

Thanks
Cristian

BOSE???

Please don't even consider the Bose speakers with the LSi9's. O you make me want to cry just thinking of that.

Look on Audiogon, E-Bay, or Craigslist for a set of used LSi7's. You should be able to purchase a pre/owned pair between $300-$400 bucks.

Do it right

Polk LSi

They also make an in-ceiling version of the Polk LSi speakers. You can get them on ebay for about $200 each.

You can pick up a pair of used LSi7s for not too much too.

If you can't afford the Polk LSis, get a lower end Polk for surrounds, they don't need to be timbre matched like the front speakers. You could get RTi surrounds.

Anything but Bose, it's disturbing it popped into your head.

Thanks for your replies, I will quote LSi7 and RTi for surrounds.

I couldn't agree more, Mazer. Do it right the first time, and no regrets later. :)
