If I have 3-Way Center and main speakers, should i get 3-way surrounds. I currently have:

JBL S-Studio center
JBL E50 Bookshelf speakers (mains)
Sony SA-WX700 Sub
Yamaha HTR-5890 Receiver

I want to buy som matching JBL surrounds for 7.1, but was wondering if I should get 3-Way surrounds to match, or will 2-Way still sound good.

Thanks for any input!

3-way surround speakers aren't very common. You should consider di-pole or bi-pole type speakers for the surround channels mounted on the side walls. Otherwise a 2-way bookehelf speaker in the same product line is your other speakers should work fine.

The surround channels get less audio than the mains so their performance is less critical.
