Hi, this is my first post but I could not find answers anywhere on the web.

I have kind of a strange set up, I am using two 2.1 systems from altec and cyber acoustics and a pair of bose companions set behind my sitting area to complete surround sound... it seems to work rather well, but I have a total of six sattelites and two subwoofers, and my realtek audio settings only shows 5 sattelites and one sub, and is 5.1

Do i have more than 5.1? is there a better way to utilize my speakers if I am not getting all the sound i can out of realtek? or is it a bad idea in general to try to hook up multiple speakers to a computer to make surround at all? lol

Here is the front of my set up

I gotta say, I have no fargin' idea how you have any of that miscegenated collection of unrelated speaker systems connected together much less be in any position to be able to offer any help.

Idk either..My laptop has 3 audio jacks though and it seems to separate the sounds exactly like a surround sound system does too, so I guess I cant really complain ha
