Surround sound Connections

I have a Marantz receiver sr6003 I believe and the Definitive technology pro cinema 800 speakers. My question is whether I should have my front speakers come from my receiver or should I have them come from my sub woofer. Which would produce better sound. I do use the LFE from the receiver to the sub and I could also run speaker wire from the front left and right connections of the reciever to the sub and then from the sub to the speakers. Just looking for ideas on this thanks.

You connect your front speakers to the receiver, not the sub, for surround sound.

The only time that running your mains through the sub makes sense is for a two-channel only system or you don't have an LFE/Sub output on the receiver.

Thanks I was reading through the literature and was confused it seemed they recommended going through the sub that it would increase the sound. thanks for your help I will leave it alone it sound great the way it is so why mess with a good thing.
