Just curious, im looking to get 2 more speakers. now if i get the ones same as my surrounds which are these:

it cost me round $399 for 2 more minus the stands and cables.

Is there other brands that are equally good and cost less?

I'm sure there are other brands that are equally good and cost less, but they most likely will not be "timbre matched" to your other speakers.

Now, for surrounds in HT use this is not a great big deal (it's the mains that really need to be matched) but it's something you want to consider. For MC music it might be a little more important but there's no 7.1 channel musicoutthere anyway. Does it matter to you? If not, then AudioAdvisor had some Athena AS-B2.2's on sale for $120 a pair that should work well here.

BTW, I don't think you want to mount surrounds on stands. They generally are mounterd high up on the wall

Speaker stands will be fine. Many will argue that surrounds should NOT be way up high, and that you should use the same positioning guidelines as with any other speaker.(meaning.....position speaker so tweeters are at, or slightly higher than ear level)
