Superbowl Approaches!

Now, most of you know that I don't really watch foozeball BUT, I host one BAD-A** Superbowl party!

Every year, a large group of people from my neighborhood pitch in some money and we purchase, then raffle off a TV. We hold this in my garage and have a BBQ going as well as chili.

For the first couple years it was $50 for 1 entry, but we could only get a 32inch flatscreen TV. Last year we introduced the 2 for $75 option, and the pot size has increased to the point where we can get a much better display. Last year we had a Projector (pretty cruddy, but still better then a 32inch TV). This year we bought a 37inch LCD(Viewsonic N3752w) and wall mount. Once the Garage is setup, I'll post pictures. We use my dads old Pioneer HPM-100s and Technics stereo amp for sound. You're be surprised at how well this works for filling that room.

Anywho, what do you guys do for the superbowl (if you DO do anything ;))

Sounds like fun Sheep, now who said Canadians weren't a fun lot?;)

We light up the grill, cook up some tenderloins, strips, dogs and burgers for the kids and beer, tons and tons of all kinds of beer (wine for the women folk, juice for the kiddies). If the Dolphins aren't involved (they usually are not) no one goes home depressed after the game;) Go Colts! eer Dolphins I mean. (lol):D

We have a big superbowl party every year - around 30+ people. Have the game on two screens - down stairs on the projector (106") and then upstairs on the 32", plus a kids movie on in the loft. We do a kind of potluck, where everybody brings something to share and we provide basic beer, malt liquer, etc. Haven't gotten too much into games and pools, but maybe this year?!

Probably some dumb Caveman... :D

The Garage isn't quite setup yet, but when it is, I'll get pictures up.

I just found out how much school is going to cost for my program. I'm selling my HT...

To give you an idea how expensive private educaton is getting, my kid is in pre-k 4 (right before kindergarten) its costing us 480.00 every month, by the time he's in fifth grade in today's dollars, 750.00 a month (actuall dollars might be 1200.00 to 1500.00, when he reaches fifth grade). And this is not a school where Miami's rich and famous send their kids, this is a neighborhood private school. If I'm not mistaken, Florida International University (state U.) is about 19,000.00 per year. UM way more (private) .

Unfortunately a diploma is what opens doors in the corporate world. Or unless you want a profession, trade schools, I believe are less, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I'm taking the Professional Recording Arts program at the Art Institute of Vancouver, and for 1 year and nine months of schooling (no summer break) it's roughly 35000 dollars.

Man that is expensive. Well look at it this way when you're done you can get into the music, film production business, its working with audio equipment(what you like) and you're getting paid to do it. If you like what you're doing, you'll never work a day in your life.

Apparently, it's actually 616, the 666 was a mistranslation.

Don't quote me on that.
