I have a Definitive Technology - SuperCube 2000.In storage,I used in the theater in other house, for movies.
My questions are how do they perform for music?
Would the constant hit from music damage the Cube or distort & sound bad?
Im looking for amps & subs for the music system, but having a budget issues at the moment.
(could be 2-4 mo b/f I get proper amp & subs)
It would prob take a day to dig it out of storage, so would it be worth the trouble?
Or just I just wait until I can again afford the passives & amp?

Thanks for your time, input & help.

The Def Tech website says it's just as good for music as it is for HT. Awful small sub however. Is the new room you're putting it in larger than the old one you had it in? If so expect some performance loss. Dig it out and try it, if it doesn't get you your fix, sell it and put the money toward a higher end sub. What speakers are you running this with, what size is the room? Is it going back in a music/HT system, or strictly music?

If you aren't using a subwoofer right now I would absolutely spend a day to dig it out of storage. Plan out some other things that you may need to get from storage, or somethings you can sell on craigslist to make some money, and go purge that storage unit. Grab the subwoofer while you are there. Rather then just buying a new one and leaving it there to collect dust. Your going to have to get in there and get it eventually. Also keep in mind that it probably wouldn't be that hard to resale it. The lowest I could find the super cube listed for at ebay was 296 dollars... That is 296 dollars that you can use towards a new passive/amp, not to mention the other things you may be able to dig up and get rid of.
Dont leave it in storage to collect dust...
