$7500 for their "Time-Accurate Digital Cables, with our revolutionary patent pending design, substantially reduce time-smear to give you the most accurate digital signal transmission possible in cables."

That's pretty amazing. Not the cable, but that they get people to pay $7500 for a digital cable.

"Inductance, which is the leading cause of time-distortion, cannot be reduced by using expensive materials (gold, silver, oxygen-free cooper, esoteric alloys, etc.) as conductors alone. Only our patent pending design can dramatically reduce time-distortion in cables to give you the most time-accurate cables in the world!"

They even italicized "induction" like it's some highly technical term you wouldn't understand.

Time-accurate speaker cables. It's pretty god damned amazing that their copper makes the electrons move faster.

Hey..i know exactly what your saying about their claims but having heard the name mentuioned around the trap and to win best at show might in some way show they are onto something, maybe?

I checked there price list and they have a component cable there at 4m for $60,000!!..how can anyone justify this even in R&D? If there cables are so great I dont think they would be spending much more than a few hundred on the right metals etc they are after and then time and labour to pretty it up? http://www.sunnycable.com/files/SCT-2006 Price List.pdf

it would be intersting to see the someone start to make inquiries that is more knowledgable on the subject (as has done before on this site) and see what they have to say?

I've tried that with other cable companies and have gotten nowhere. The only exotic company that even tries to look scientific is Analysis Plus. But this company? They're not onto anything, aside from a tested method of extorting money from foolish audiophiles.

Come on, think about this for a second.. how much do you think the recording studio spent on the *power cords* for the recording devices? The microphone cords? Guitar cords? Digital interconnects? No, of course they don't.

$5000 power cords? You have $.50/foot electrical cable all over your house.

It's extremely amusing that they tout the exact same advantages for their digital cables as their analog cables. Cause, you know, it's the same idea.

I would very much like to see what the design of their 'patent pending' is?

I even hear that 'Widescreen Review' have just installed the Sunny Cables into their state-of-the-art 'Reference Holosonic Spherical Surround Theatre laboratory' (what a mouth full) and will also being doing an in-depth review of the cables in the upcoming May issue.

It will be very interesting to see how this review is put across or if they merely accept what is being told to them and repeat; then let their 'belief' systems take-over from there to make them feel all warm and fuzzy. After all, if you just spent a house-load of dollars on cable why the hell wouldn't you belive in what they are meant to be doing for your system?

Is there some kind of list named "More Money Than Brains"?. I'm always amazed at the ever-accelerating BS artists out there.

Say??? All Analysis Plus had to say when I called them for some hard numbers on losses to skin effect was to visit one of their retailers and listen.

Do they have data from DBT comparisons??? Of course not. That would sink their product in a hurry. They rely on customer testimonials.

mtrycrafts - thanks mate. Thought as much. Customer testimonials especially when audio cable is the centre of focus is usually a contentious and personal thing. Video cable to a lessor extent as one can generally see improvements and measure them more effectly. I guess in the end with regards to audio cable is that there is not, and correct me if I'm wrong here, not one paper on the subject that distinguishes itself to what constitutes the sound characteristics of what is good and what is better or bad or what should be the standard to which all cable is adhered to for a consistant 'sound' quality? Standard rules of inductance, resistance and the like need to be closely followed or chosen to get the most out of the cable but it isnt rocket science.

I'm not sure how long a Patent takes to come through but am pretty sure this Patent Pending thing has been on there site for a considerable amount of time. Wonder when they will get it and what will it be?

Would love for Audioholics to 'measure' these cables and do blind tests as have been done in the past.

Mtry,
Analysis plus doesn't do blind tests. They do some funky stuff with a silly scope. I asked one time and I got a fuzzy photo that apparently illustrated how a normal speaker cable distorted a square wave. Of course, they cables aren't directly connected to the equipment, oh no. They use the standard cheap ocilliscope leads with the cheap nickel terminations! How those cables don't damage the signal, I'll never know :p

These companies don't make an awful lot of money.

They certainly don't have the spare cash to fund a research lab to come up with any sorts of measurements or experiments to confirm anything they say.

They simply make it up. Most of these companies aren't going to have anyone on staff who does any research whatsoever.

Call up Sunny Cables and ask them for the name of their lead researcher and how many people are on their research team. I wonder what they'd say.

I didn't expect them to have DBT data:D Asking was simple; but had some hope when they claimed to have such high talent on their staff.

But, not to have the losses from skin effect??? After the fact that that is one of their reasons for their livelihood? Unforgivable:mad: If they did, I was going to ask for data on the audibility of that magnitude of loss, about .04dB:D
