Suggestions on a power amplifier

I have slowly been building an immersive home theater system. I bought a Denon ABR-X6500H to get started. Originally I bought some Polk monitor 70s and a matching center. Shortly after I found out about SVS sound. I started immediately had buyers remorse and decided to get rid of what I had and upgrade to SVS towers and center. Before I did that I bought 4 prime surrounds, 4 prime elevations and a pb-4000. I was finally ready to buy towers and a center but they announced the pinnacles; I decided to wait for those. I finally have a full SVS prime 7.1.4 setup. I do plan on buying another pb-4000 but before I did that I wanted to put more power my mains. I was considering getting something like an emotiva 7 channel. I am unsure if putting 200 watts to all 7 of those would be a good idea though. The pinnacles are rated for 300 watts so I thought of maybe getting a 2 channel to power those and then going for the basx for the other 5. I wish there was a more accurate output rating for my receiver. It’s rated for 140 watts 2 channels driven. When I call Denon, they tell me it is 140 watts all channels driven but I don’t see that being the case. I watch a lot of movies and my setup sounds great when watching a 4K blu ray. It’s loud but I can tell I’m really pushing the Denon when I watch a movie. Music isn’t as loud as I would like. I know for sure I would be happy with the 2 channel on the pinnacles but don’t know if it’s justified to get the basx for the rest. It’s rates for 125 watts all channels driven. I just don’t know if that’s more or less than they are currently getting. The 7 channel may be a better way to go but I’m unsure if the surrounds can handle 200 watts safely. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You should use an online spl calculator to figure out how much power you need first. As it is now, what is the vol position when you feel it is loud enough for you?

Unless you go absolutly crazy with the volume knob a bigger amp wont hurt your surround speakers, a less powerful amp will kill them sooner because of clipping anyway. If you feel you need/want more power consider just getting a 2 or 3 channel one for the front and possibly center channel. The receiver will easily run the rest.

Could be your speakers are the limitation rather than the amp, too. I'd think adding an amp to the front three would be the way to go, letting the avr handle the surrounds. What's your budget?
