Hi I'm looking to purchase myself a good HTIB, and currently in my budget range in my region/location are these two models:

1)Philips HTS3455/98 http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/catalog/tree/HOME_ENTERTAINMENT_GR_AU_CONSUMER/DVD_HOME_THEATER_CA_AU_CONSUMER/product/HTS3455_98_AU_CONSUMER/catalog.jsp?activeTab=specifications&language=en&country=AU&catalogType=CONSUMER&proxybuster=I3EOIG3U1VRENJ0RMRCSHP3HKFSESI5P
This is a 1000w System and has hdmi connectivity and DIVX Capability (I see this as plus as the Pioneer doesn't have the playback of Divx Media or HDMI.)

2)Pioneer HTD8 http://www.pioneernz.co.nz/default.asp?ObjectID=435&StockCode=HTD8
It's a 600w system and is slightly more costly than the Philips.

I'm paying NZ $ and the Pioneer is $690 where as the Philips is $580.

I'm curious if anyone has tried either of these systems and if anyone could guide me on what should be the deciding factor. Now I know that they advertise wattage a lot; but comparatively from the specifications what would II need to consider for the speakers and the overall HTIB I'm considering to purchase?

Any helpful hints on other HTIB's such would be good as well.

I've noticed the logitech Z5450 or Z5500 (wireless rears) would be challenging or worth the consideration as they are similarly priced, but would they be satisfying compared with these?

Any thoughts and suggestions would be really useful.

I've always found Yamaha HTiB's to be better then mostly everything else out there. You cna get some that come with a real receiver. I'd look into these before buying one of the 2 listed options.
