Congratulations on your 805!

Sorry for my delay....my internet went down yesterday evening and I have been troubleshooting it today and finally got it back up.

Oh wait...it's sold out because I bought the last one! :D

Thanks for everyone's help on this. It would have taken me forever to make a decision on which unit to get and in the end, would have been the wrong choice.

If anyone cares I can post again after hooking the unit up and give my thoughts on the performance.
Hi CCallahan,

This is great news. I'm very happy for you. Other people were also looking for that very same receiver, right here in this Forum, but I did not told them, so you can have your lucky chance on it. How's that for a nice guy? ;)

* And by the way, your computer "Google search" went down because of Michael Jackson's pass away, and also a bit have to do with the situation in Iran. So much for the internet!

And I do care a great deal; please do post your impressions on your new toy as soon that you're all set and running. :)
This is what it's all about.

Take care,

Bob

IMO once you have a Denon 3*** - 4*** series or Marantz 7*** - 8*** series, looking at something in the Denon 2's or Marantz 5-6's WILL NOT be comparable sound or build quality .

Even going back a year or 2 for the higher end model of a Denon 3*** or better yet a 4***, same for Marantz go to a 8*** will be a real upgrade.

Video switching, more hdmi, more abc, isn't has important to me as the sound and build quality, and at refurbed prices for last years top or near top of the line for the same price as a entry or mid range new, to me I always will go for what was the higher up the line one.

I also think most people who buy like this are satisfied far longer.:D
That's an affirmative & valid point. ;)

Ya, I did PM him right after posting, to double make sure that everything would be quick and painless for both of us. ;)

* By the way, the 805 is exactly 50.9 lbs net. With double packaging for the shipping, it's about 65+ lbs! Very heavy indeed. I know, I've been through it.
