Suggestions for HD receiver

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my receiver from a Yamaha RXV-800 to a receiver capable of HD sound (DTS-HD; Dolby true HD). I have been leaning towards the Pioneer VSX-LX70, the Yamaha RXV-3900 and the Denon AVR 3808. The receiver has to be able to drive my 4-ohm Dynaudio audience 52's. Definitely,I need something that will not only satisfy my need for explosive Home theater sound but also able to offer close to audiophile grade two channel performance.

Any suggestions?

4 ohms may be rough on any AVR. Have you considered using an ext amp with the AVR? What is your budget?

I have thought about it but right now i dont have space for an amp and a receiver. Also, i was told that Dyanudios usually play it safe when it comes to their impedance ratings. Ive been able to drive my Audience 52 speakers with my 100 watt yamaha for the past 8 years and it hasnt conked out on me yet (although sound quality leaves much to be desired). With regards to your question about the budget, no more than $2000.00.

Thanks!

My 3805 ran my Axiom M80s (4 ohm) with no difficulty.

Well then, I would go for the 3808 if it were me. I was a Yamaha fan for 20 years but have been less than impressed by their offerings over the last 2 years. I had a 3800 before the Denon and hated it. The new Pioneer Elites seem awesome too (SC 05 and SC 07)

I am running a pair of B&W 803D's with my Pioneer SC-07. I do have them bi-amp'ed since the AVR will do that and it has been running nicely with some pretty darn good sound.
That being said I am planning on using the SC-07 as a pre for the fronts and getting a McIntosh MC402 to run them in the future because I know they are capable of more.
