Suggestion to bulid a mini sub...

Hello guys,

I would like to build an small sub for music. I live in an apartment and space is a problem. I like the Velodyne mini line. Any idea to build something like that??

JL Audio 8w7 in a sealed enclosure with some eq added will stomp most "mini" subs out there.

In a 1.0ft^3 enclosure the 8W7 with some EQ can be +/-3db from 36hz-93.5hz from 105db-108db (anechoic).

This would require a 2nd order infrasonic filter at 20hz and +1.0db eq at 35hz with a "Q" setting of 1.5.

Due to the highly linear motor and extremely low power compression this sub will outperform many conventional 12 subs in substantially larger enclosures.

F3 with this configuration is 36hz and the -6db point is 30hz.

Without the eq F3 is 37.4hz and -6db point is approx 31hz.
