I have a Sansui AE 970 integrated amp connected to a Sansui G-E770
Equalizer. I want to connect a Velodyne DLS 3500 to the Amp.
I really don't want to run speaker wire back and forth between the sub and the amp . here is what is available on all components.
The Sansui amp's back panel has the following "open" ports.
1. A section that says Digital in-Black RCA connection.
2. A connection directly below it that says DAT- Black RCA connection
3. Aconnection that says CD optical-(self explanatory)
4. A connection that says Digital out-Orange RCA connection
5. 2 black RCA connectors marked Dolby surround Left and right
6.A section marked Audio that has LD in Left and right and a DAT out Left and right.
7. The equalizer is also connected in this area. It is connected to
Graphic equalizer in R&L and out R&L.
8.The next section is marked audio and has RCA connections for
Phono, Tuner, Video/Aux. I have my CD player connected to video/aux.
9 lastly there are the standard connections for a deck..Record_play R&L
in and out.
My Subwoofer has the following connections:Speaker level input-output binding posts.
Input output left and right-RCA connections. High Pass Xover 80 or 100 HZ.
Toggle switch that says internal crossover or subwoofer direct. Sub volume.
And low pass xover 40 to 200HZ. (infinitly adjustable). Oh..And phase 0 or 180 degrees.
There must be some way to hook this up without running all those speaker wires back and forth between the amp and the sub. I have tons of Y connectors in all configurations and numerous adaptors,(RCA-Coax, Mini pin to RCA etc.) Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!!

You don't run speaker cables to and from the sub to the amp

You run one set of speaker cables from the amp to the subs apeaker level input. You would then run another set of speaker cables from the sub's speaker outputs to your mains.

Additionally, there's no law that says you MUST run a set of speaker cables from the sub to the speakers. Just connect the sub in parallel to the speakers.

But, by running your mains from the sub's speaker outputs you can cut the bass from going to your mains which can clean up the sound somewhat.

In either case, you're still stuck with two runs of speaker cables. It's your call.
