I am having a problem with my subwoofer rumbling when we walk accross the room. We have hardwood floors. Any suggestions? Has done this with 2 subs, although both of them were bought used. Not sure if it is the subs or the floor/setup.

Hmmm. Sounds like the subs are moving or are not level. Maybe just try some rubber under the feet? An isolation riser will help clean up the sound too though, so may kill 2 birds with one stone.

Ture, but not when nothing is going through it...lol It almost sounds like a loose connection but the fact that it has happened with both subs leads me to believe it to be something else. Is the isolation riser a good start?
Yes the isopads have a lot of benefits.

Where these subs the same model and brand? It sounds as if there is a poor connection somewhere that is vibration sensitive.

What I these subs?

What happens of you bang or tap on the plate amp?

Physical enclosure rumbling or the driver making rumbling sounds (while the subwoofer is powered on) when you walk around the room?

The former would require better isolation from your floor.

The latter indicates you have some sort of loose connection that is getting wiggled and causing an artificial audio signal to be detected and played.

Agreed, so if you are saying there is actually sound coming from the DRIVER when you are walking around, then something is wrong with the cable or the sub. If it is just the sub wobbling around, some pads under the feet or isolation riser as I mentioned should fix that.
