Subwoofer rec for smaller room

I am looking for a sub for a HT system in a smaller room. The room is 11 x 15 with 8ft ceilings. I was going to go with the STF-2 from HSU but I was wondering if thats too much for the size of the room and if I'd be better off with the STF-1 with the 8" woofer. Thoughts? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

What is to much for someone is headroom for someone else.

I say it's not to big. :D

If you did not get what Mazer is saying, I will clarify a bit.
The quick answer is no, get the STF-2 or better.

You can never really have enough, but it is very easy to have to little.
Going to little, will not give you the 'WOW' factor when you setup the sub.

Not saying the STF-1 is not a good sub, just saying that the STF-2 is better.
You will have more headroom with the STF-2, to use the gain volume as needed (extra impact, less impact).

Personally, I use a 10" sub just for the computer setup in a 11' x 15' room.
But use the 12" in the HT area (which could be doubled to 2 x 12"s).

I'm currently using an STF-2 in a room that's about 11 X 15 and will endorse it. It's a fine unit for the price and I assume that it will go lower than the 1, which is more significant than whether it's "too much". You should adjust the level and crossover to meld with your other speakers and even though it is quite powerful, that will come in handy with loud movies and everybody's favorite, pipe organ recordings.
