Hello guys, Im a new member to this site and I also don't speak english very well, so have pateince :). This thread may be a little selfish cus it's somethng that will only help me but here's my problem, I recently bought the Logitech z5500 speakers and IMO they are AWESOME. I set them up in a very mediocre way in my room cus I was all exciting about just turning them on. Im planing to move them to the studio room or whatever thats called in english (you know, the room with the big tv, the home theater, sofas and else..) So I was wondering which was the best position for the sub. I just want to feel it as deep and smooth as it can. So I will upload and image with the dimensions and furniture of the room so u guys can tell me thebest position for the sub. Thanks in advance for any help u guys can give me.

I would try any corners (lower ones on the image preferably). Then get an SPL meter with a test tone to adjust the volume of the sub.

This is about the best thing you can do with one sub. You could eventualy buy a second one and plug it on the opposite corner.

Good luck and give us some feedback!

OK Im gonna try the lower left corner between the wall and the sofa although I don't know if putting the sub in that space has any negative effect since it's like caged in there.. anyway, thats why Im posting, cus IDK. thanks anyway I'll give you some feedback..

sub placement

Try putting your sub where normally sit, walk around your room and where you feel it sounds the best is close to where your sub belongs.
Hope this helps.

OK it has been around 3 weeks or so since I made this topic and I finnaly took the time to place my z5500 on that room. I ended up placing the sub below the desk in between the two sofas and I must say it soundws GREAT compared to whre I had it before (in my bedroom ontop of the desk..). The glass window that's close to the desk shakes as if it were going to shatter!:D I might try putting the sub on the other corner where jeanseb told me to and I'll be back with results... thnx for the help
