I have a single powered sub sitting next-to and below the right speaker with the speaker facing the couch. (ASW-300)
According to the AVIA dvd the phase setting is supposed to be set such that you can hear the highs more clearly rather than the lows and such a setting corresponds to a 0-phase setting on my sub. The 180-degree setting produces much "lower" which fills the low end a lot better than the 0 setting.
What exactly is the purpose of such a setting? What do members here use? Where are their subs placed?
