Subwoofer matching with system question

Subs generally aren't though of as "blending". You can pretty much take any sub and match it to any system, as long as you set the pahse and crossover right, and place it in a "good" acoustic place in the room.

You may think of your sub as underpowered or not reaching low enough, but you won't really find that a "system" sub is necessarily better than an OEM sub.

Lots of people have very high-end speakers they use with subs from Outlaw, Velodyne, HSU, SVS, and so on.

If I were you, I'd play with the crossover a little and move the sub around some to see if the acoustics are keeping you from the enjoyment you expect.

Ok lemme just sum it up, I have a Yamaha 770 watt 7.1 reciever I bought @ bb back in march. I have the Bic Acoustech Speaker set minus the acoustech sub. This is the sub I have http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=930 Now I'm beginning to wonder, would the Acoustech sub have blended better with the system than the Klipsch sub? Here's the Acoustech sub link http://www.rtrspeakers.com/acoustech sub.htm Any input would be greatly appreciated!
As mentioned by Leprkon, brand matching of subs is not needed. The question is, what in your sub's performance do you feel is not up to par?

Everything is up to par, I was just wondering if getting that subwoofer would make a significant difference on the sound. I have configured my system with Avia and an SPL meter, and it sounds GREAT!
