Subwoofer LFE connection

Super beginner here. Can someone help me connect my subwoofer to receiver using LFE? subwoofer comes with 2 cables,1 rca and 3.5mm exit trigger input. Receiver only has subwoofer out. Can i still use LFE mode? Thanks!

Should be just one RCA cable from the LFE output on the reciever to the single LFE RCA input on the sub. And set the switch to LFE on the sub, i assume that just bypasses the crossovers on the sub but thats a job the reciever does so they would be bypassed or set to max crossover anyway.

What receiver do you have? One with bass management or ? Like Leemix says generally if so.

You've had a number of posts in the last day and you keep leaving out the make and model of the equipment you are using. Kind of like saying "I have a car and it is making a noise, how do I fix it?" - Make and model matter a great deal, as well as additional details about the equipment. Please provide them in the first post, that way people won't ask for that information and can help you out more better.

If so...
Use a RCA cable to connect your Onkyo purple subwoofer conection to the LFE input on the subwoofer.

As long as this is your receiver, then it's just the one connection. Your receiver offers TWO subwoofer outputs, but both of them provide the exact same audio. So, just use one of them and connect to the LFE input of your subwoofer and move the switch to LFE on the subwoofer.

Looks like he also needs to flip the switch to "LFE" (assuming that will take the low pass filter out of the way) since he's got an avr with bass management....
