Subwoofer kicks in?

I have the JBL250P..subwoofer and a lot of times I will be watching a movie or show and out of nowhere my subwoofer finally decides to cut on. It's really annoying to be watching something and then all a sudden the sub comes on or off. There is a light at the top that tells me when the sub is activated (red light-off, green light-on). Is there anything I can do? or is the sub waiting for a signal to kick on?

Your subwoofer is in an "auto" turn on mode. When it senses enough voltage it kicks on. In many movies there can be sections where the sub is inactive for quite sometime, thus shutting down. The cure for this, is to turn it (switch on the back of the sub) to the "on" position. There should be no problems in doing this.
