Another NOOB question:

I get that I can play two different sources in two different rooms with this receiver, but is is capable of running a SUB in two places at the same time?? Haven't bought it yet.

Thanks for tolerating my questions!

Generally the second "zone" is a stereo signal, not a full blown x.1 HT feed.

Also be aware that many units won't allow you to input a digital signal and send it to zone two.

If you buy a sub with line-level inputs you would run the speaker connections from the receiver to the sub and then from the sub to the speakers and this would give you a sub signal coinciding with the source you are sending to the second room. This is how I would set it up, given your scenario.

Or he can "Y" adapt to both subs then turn off the one that he doesn't want playing. Currently, I have a 12" sub and
(2) 8" subs but all of them are in my living room. The 12" on one side and the (2) 8" on another and I could not be happier.

This is all well and good in theory, but could produce bizarre results when running different sources.

Thanks, Folks

Certainly a couple ideas I hadn't considered.

My plan is to put some decent outdoor speakers on the back deck and a polk subwoofer out there too. Just...haven't figured out....how to seal the sub from the elements and still hear it.....

I appreciate your help!

Well I was thinking he was only going to listen to one source at a time. If he wants to listen to (2) different sources then you are correct in that it would pose a problem to "Y" adapt. I know the Yammie can power Zone 2 speakers as long as it is from (1) source or is the Yammie Dual Zone capable with (2) different sources playing at the same time?

For Zone 2 you will need a sub with speaker-level inputs.
