Subwoofer fades

My Definitive Technology ProCinema sub starts out fine, then within a minute itwill lose about 70% of it's bass. If I turn bass/volume down for a few seconds, it'll come back, but then just fades away again.

It's not my amp, 'cus when I hook up my Sunfire MKII, I experience no problems (using same cables).

It isn't clipping, just slowly turning itself down.

Any ideas? Thinking a beat it up with my last music party!

Sounds like the amp is damaged in the sub itself. It is either some kind of protection circuitry or the amp isn't able to properly maintain output (bad cap?). Either way, you have already proven that it is something within the sub itself.
