I have a Yamaha HTR 5830 receiver. The crossover on the sub output on the receiver is fixed at 90Hz. I have no idea on how low my satelittes can go, there cheap, but do the job. I have a Yamaha YST SW215 subwoofer. Any suggestions on where I should set the crossover on the sub?

Most people disable the crossover on the sub, and use the crossover setting within their receivers. 80Hz is a good place to start.

Sorry, I misread your question vfash.

If you disable your sub's crossover, then your crossover will be at 90Hz as set on the receiver. Since you have satellite speakers, they probably don't go that low anyways, and it'll be better to let the sub handle all bass below 90Hz.
