Hello, I hope someone will be able to take the time to help, it will be appreciated.
My older model Sony Dolby pro logic receiver does not have a sub out connection. I was going to connect my sub via an "audio out (red & white)" to a "line in" on my sub. My sub is a powered sub with a crossover knob, phase switch.

Will this harm my sub?

TIA

What you want to do is run your left/right speaker outputs (the main left/right speaker wires coming from your receiver) into the speaker inputs on your subwoofer (it should have these).

Then you will go from the speaker outputs on your subwoofer to your main left/right speakers.

This will allow the subwoofer to handle the low frequency information, and pass (crossover) the higher frequencies to your main speakers. This will result in much happiness, and was how the subwoofer was designed to work.
