Is there any specific things i need to check before buying a subwoofer cable for LFE?

I'd agree with most of that.
Sorry friends, still think BJC is too expensive.

I've posted photos somewhere of my sub cable running past a power strip with 5 monoblock amps plugged into it. No hum, do distortion. Better price for a more robust conductor (yes, Monoprice offers a lower gauge pure copper conductor than BJC, suitably insulated and double shielded).
They sell y adapters too:

Cheers!

Does it have a part number or is there a link with specs?

I get people think BJ cable is expensive, and it is, comparatively speaking . I don't mind paying for blue jeans at all myself. You know you're getting a high quality cable, and you can get them to cut it to the exact length you need. Monoprice is a good, inexpensive alternative. Bottom line, don't overthink subwoofer cable. Just get a decent one at the price you're comfortable paying.

Exactly. As long as the length is what you need, then you should be fine. I've liked my Monoprice cables just fine. The premium ones have pretty nice quality RCA ends too!

@Speedskater what is it you want clarification on? The link is there in my post.
Oops, I clicked on the wrong link before.
But the correct link, doesn't have the needed specs. Why would you think that it's equal to the BJC LC-1?

Yup. I went a step or two up for the looks and was still pretty inexpensive. No problems.

What are the needed specs? All of the info is available. Please clarify what you want to know. :)

IMO the reason I went with BJC is that taversoe connector which no other company I've seen offers. The others are cheaper because of the connectors. This one clamps without ever applying too much pressure / sticking. My current (dead) sub are XLR now though... :)

Good connection is very important. I simply love my Blue jeans Belden speaker cables with the locking banana connectors.

No! all the information is not on the page that I found.
Mogami lists about 20 electrical & mechanical characteristics for a coax cable.
* * * * * * * * * * *
End-to-end resistance of the shield.
For a long analog RCA interconnect, that's the important question.

Good for them, leader of the pack. :)
What spec is so important, especially for a sub cable. Turntable may need a cap data for a cartridge. After that?

Like a number of the brethren have already said, don't over think this. It's the most basic cable in the room. If its long enough, and it has connectors on it, its probably going to work just fine. I've had Rat Shack stuff and it worked just fine. I have Blue Jeans Stuff and it works just fine. For my last one, I went with Monoprice because they're cheaper. Still, it is way better than it needs to be. Don't apply too much thinkin' here. Its a simpler answer than that

I have a Monster 15 foot THX cable I purchased cheap ($15 or so) about 10 years ago. Never purchased a sub but I still have the cable in the original package. Just in case...:)
