Subwoofer and receiver have different ports

Hello all,

My Sony Subwoofer has the black and red speaker wire ports, but there is only a single RCA(?) port for the subwoofer on my Denon receiver. Is there an adapter available?

Well, kind-of, if an amplifier is an adapter . You can run your receiver's sub output to an amplifier and then run the (now powered) signal to your subwoofer.

I don't know what your subwoofer is, but it may be easier and more effective to save up for a better powered subwoofer that would take care of the problem by including its own amplifier.
