subs only work with radio?

i have my sub and amp hooked up. i have a sony explode not sure what model but its the giga sony. has 1 gb of memory in the head unit. circuit shitty installed my head unit. i hooked up my remote wire up to the empty remote wire that was behind the head unit. works great with fm radio. but will not work with the cd player, aux, or the built in memory. anybody know why. and if i left out any important details let me know. dont really know how to explain! hope yall can help me out.

It might be that radio is generally equalized to play lower frequencies at higher levels so you just notice the bass more during the FM playback. I would also check the settings on your headunit just incase, try turning up the bass during CD playback.

found the problem. the so called remote wire was only giving off power during the radio. i had to find a wire that was hott when i turned my car on, so another words my amp was loosing its remote when the radio wasnt on! ...well hope this helps for anyone with this problem.
